POSITION: Summer Natural Resource Aide
EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: Full-time mid May through September. Standard 40 hours/week, Monday thru Friday with occasional weekend or holiday hours.
SALARY: $8.50/hr. Housing Available.
DESCRIPTION: This position will assist with all aspects of development of county wildlife areas, parks, and trails; including routine area & facility maintenance, management of upland habitat, tree and shrub removal. Opportunities to assist County Naturalists with programming will exist.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have some course work in biology, ecology or natural sciences would be beneficial, but are not required. Ability to operate tractors, mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and small hand tools a plus. Applicants should have the ability to work with people of all ages, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be at least 18 years old.
